ERIE ART MUSEUM/ HIGHMARK MID-DAY ART BREAK
Beginning Weds., June 7, the Erie Art Museum will again present a series of free Wednesday noontime concerts, sponsored this year by Highnark. The concerts are held in the Patio outside the E. 5th St. entrance to the museum (Between State St. and French) -- indoors if it rains. 12 noon -- 1:00 p.m. Shows with jazz-related content:
July 5 Pine Dairy -- soulful indie pop, blending elements of folk, shoegaze & jazz.
Aug. 2 The Breeze Band -- classic R&B, soul
Aug. 23 Galactic Duo: Tony Grey & Ian Maciak -- ethereal bass & drum jazz fusion
EIGHT GREAT TUESDAYS: Tuesday evening outdoor concerts at Erie's Liberty Park on the lakefront. 8 p.m. FREE. The musical fare is rock--pop--groove oriented. Some near-jazz groups:

Dave Callaghan, saxophones. Able band members are: either Joe Frisina - ,guitar or Mark DeWalt - piano, and Richie Hopkins or Tim Driscoll - drums, Blaine Baker - upright bass..
Dave is a hard bop devotee, but spreads to incorporate Latin, pop, standards from all eras and whatever goes well with a jazz orientation.
