The Lawrence Park Historical Society is having a celebration on Saturday 9/17/16 from 10am until 6pm in recognition of the Incorporation of Lawrence Park in 1926.
Joining us in our celebration will be the Presque Isle Jazz Orchestra from 3:00-6:00pm. The concert will be at the UE 506 (United Electrical Workers Union Hall) at 3923 Main Street, Erie, 16511. The Hall is 3+ blocks west of Iriquois on Main St. in Lawrence Park.
ADMISSION: $5 with purchase of button. 12 and under free.
The Event hall will also feature Food for purchase catered by the Lavender Rabbit and $1 Root Beer.
Many events will be taking place throughout the Township throughout the day. They include Historical Tours, Children’s Activities and an Artisan, Craft & Business Expo. The Lawrence Park Historical Society will also be open extended hours.
Period Attire is encouraged but not required. Local Photographer Joshua Arlington will be on hand with a photo booth.
OTHER SPECIAL EVENTS at other locations:
Face Painting & Crafts 10am-2pm with games and Hooked on Books and some clowning around at Christ the Redeemer Church throughout the day.
HORSE GUIDED HISTORICAL TOURS: Tickets $10 ($5 for ages 12 and under) Leaving from the township building. Tickets will be sold up until 30 minutes prior to each tour or until sold out.
