Sat., Jan. 2 - Julio Quezada & Friends.  SATURDAY NIGHT LATIN!!

Julio Quezada has been a Latin music mainstay in Erie for many years. His popular group Mambo has entertained many fun-loving audiences over the years, and many may remember hearing Julio on WQLN as the Latin DJ, spinning some of the best Latin cuts around. Friends can include members of Mambo, including Stilletto Star Monica Lewis, Doug Russell, and Tony Cruz, and an assortment of other musicians who have enjoyed playing with Julio during his days here in Erie.

More about Mambo:

Mambo is an ensemble of northwest Pennsylvania’s most skilled musicians, joining to create an irresistibly danceable sound that blends traditional and contemporary Latin music with Latin-infused rock, pop and jazz classics. Audiences can’t help but move their feet to the music of Mambo, while the band plays everything from Santana to the Beatles to traditional Latin standards like "Sway" and "Besame Mucho," as well as several of the band’s original songs since 2001.  Mambo is led by Julio Quezada on Spanish guitar and features Doug Russell on bass, Tony Cruz on bongos and percussion, and Monica Lewis on vocals.  If the venue accommodates a bigger sound, the band also includes Julie VonVolkenburg on keyboards, Dave Rodrigez on timbales and Jeremy Cruz on percussion.
