JazzErie is excited to be presenting Bobby Selvaggio and Red Rhinoceros at the Erie Art Museum,  Friday November 17th at 8pm.  This is surely a performance you will not want to miss!

Bobby Selvaggio is one of the most talented and creative alto saxophone voices on modern jazz scene today.  Bobby was born and raised right near here in the Cleveland area where he earned his Bachelors degree in music performance from Kent State University.  He then went on to the New York scene where he studied and earned his Masters degree in Jazz Performance from the highly esteemed Manhattan School of Music.  He studied with many jazz greats including Joe Lovano, Dick Oatts and Maria Schneider just to name a few.

After school Bobby went on to have success gigging in New York city at some of the most historic jazz venues like The Village Vanguard, Smalls and Birdland!  He would later return to Cleveland and pursue his love for jazz education as the Director of Jazz Studies at his alma mater Kent State University,

Bobby will bring to Erie his great octet and present a fresh and creative approach to jazz that you will be sure to enjoy.  We hope to see you all there!
