Director of Western Michigan University's Jazz program, Knific is an imaginative, thoughtful upright bassist and composer. A Cleveland native, Knific has played with Brubeck, Fred Hersch, Randy Brecker, Toots Thielmans and many more.
He brings Andrew Rathburn - saxophone, son Gene Knific - piano (no slouch himself after tours of Africa, Russia and the US), and drummer Keith Hall. Great living room jazz.
